There are other disinfectants that will kill the same things, but are not safe products to use on animals or humans, as they mostly contain aldehydes or glutaraldhydes. These two ingredients are classified as poisonous and therefore not suitable for use with animals.

This product is very safe to use and does not contain any of the harmful ingredients that can be found in some other disinfectants. It is also safe to use on small abrasions of the skin to clean the wound.

To moisturise the hoof use Equimins Hoof Moisturising Cream or Equimins Hoof Moisturising Lotion.

This has worked wonders in keeping my barefoot horses frogs in great condition and thrush free! Excellent product, highly recommended and easier to apply than pastes etc.
